Football Recap: Westlake's Undefeated Season over After Four Games + How To Watch

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Westlake and DeRidder, and DeRidder kept the tradition alive. The Rams fell 24-20 to the Dragons on Friday. The loss was the Rams' first of the season.

Despite the loss, Westlake still got an impressive performance from Brody Anderson, who rushed for 133 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 101 yards on eight of 18 attempts. Anderson's longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards. A healthy portion of Anderson's aerial production (82 yards to be exact) went to Issac Jordan.

Having lost for the first time this season, Westlake fell to 3-1. As for DeRidder, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Westlake will face off against Erath at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats' defense has only allowed 14.2 points per game this season, so the Rams' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for DeRidder, they will challenge Jennings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Dragons surely won't give up without a fight.
