Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kennedy Phillips and Kinley Painter Lead Providence Academy to Victory

Providence Academy won the last time they faced State Line HomeSchool R and things went their way on Tuesday too. Providence Academy strolled past the State Line HomeSchool R Rush with points to spare, taking the game 60-44. The win made it back-to-back victories for Providence Academy.

Providence Academy was led to victory by Kinley Painter and Kennedy Phillips. Painter went 6 of 14 on her way to 12 points in addition to seven boards and six steals, while Phillips went 7 for 13 on her way to 17 points and six rebounds. That's the most boards Painter has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Myla Johnson, who posted eight points.

Providence Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for State Line HomeSchool R, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-3.

Providence Academy will venture away from home to take on Concord Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Providence Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.1 points per game this season. As for State Line HomeSchool R, they will take on Westover Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
