Roosevelt had won three straight games and Abbey Greenspan did her part to make it four on Thursday. The Presidents walked away with a 3-1 win over the Beacon Bulldogs with plenty of help from Greenspan, who had 16 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Roosevelt had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-18.

Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 6-4-1. As for Beacon, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Roosevelt will take on Saugerties at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beacon, they will challenge Newburgh Free Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
