Volleyball Game Preview: Amundsen Vikings vs. Chicago Washington Patriots

The Amundsen Vikings will square off against the Chicago Washington Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Amundsen will be strutting in after a victory while Chicago Washington will be coming in after a defeat.

On Thursday, Amundsen was able to grind out a solid win over Lake View, taking the game 2-0. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won five in a row.

While Amundsen might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Lake View scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Chicago Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to Von Steuben.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14.

Amundsen now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Chicago Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Amundsen beat Chicago Washington 2-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
