Volleyball Game Preview: Harker Eagles vs. Menlo School Knights + How To Watch

Harker hasn't had much luck against Menlo School recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eagles will square off against the Knights at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Harker took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Mercy.

While Harker won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-12, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Menlo School had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Tigers.

Menlo School was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (105-97), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 25-19, 26-24, 13-25, 18-25, 15-12.

Harker better focus on containing Ava Wang and Allison Yu as the pair were huge in Menlo School's win. Wang had 33 digs, while Yu had 18 assists and nine digs. Wang is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Harker now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Menlo School, their win bumped their record up to 11-16.

Harker might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Menlo School in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
