Lynden Christian took a 11-run defeat the last time they faced off against Ferndale, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lyncs had just enough and edged out the Golden Eagles 6-4. The win was just business as usual for the Lyncs, who after six games remain undefeated this season.

Lynden Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Ferndale, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lynden Christian is set to face off against their familiar foe Blaine at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lyncs 3.5, the Borderites 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Ferndale will challenge rival Meridian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
