Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Myers Park). They really took it to the Mallard Creek Mavericks for the full four quarters, racking up a 95-66 win. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Mustangs had established a 21-point advantage.

Ayo Awosanya was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 30 points and ten rebounds. What's more, he also posted a 92% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Thomas Vickery was another key player, shooting 42% from the field to rack up 21 points and seven boards.

Mallard Creek's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kingston Cardwell, who posted 24 points. Another player making a difference was Caden Tucker, who put up 18 points.

The victory got Myers Park back to even at 2-2. As for Mallard Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coming up, Myers Park will take on Northside Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th. Myers Park will need to watch out since Northside Christian has now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Mallard Creek, they have already played their next game, a 58-52 win against Lake Norman on the 29th.
