Baseball Recap: Lakeview's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

After a string of three wins, Lakeview's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Okemos Wolves. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 9-6 to the Wolves when the teams met back in June of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Zack Rogers and Mason Hood stepped up to the plate in a big way. Rogers went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base, while Hood went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Lakeview's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Okemos, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Okemos beat Lakeview by a score of 9-5 later that day.
