Cass Tech is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Bedford: they outscored them in every quarter. Cass Tech's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Donald Tabron II, who threw for 170 yards and four TDs while completing 80% of his passes. Those four passing touchdowns gave Tabron II a new career-high. Cass Tech also got a significant boost from De'Mari Hendrix, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 134 yards.
Cass Tech was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 296 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bedford didn't rushed for any.
Meanwhile, Northville made easy work of Franklin on Friday and carried off a 35-14 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 20-0.
Cass Tech better focus on containing Adam Sakowski and Brayden Tuiasosopo as the pair were huge in Northville's win. Sakowski rushed for 143 yards and one score on only 11 carries, while Tuiasosopo rushed for 117 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 carries. Sakowski's longest rush was for an impressive 61 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Cass Tech's record is now 9-0. As for Northville, their record now sits at 7-2.
