Soccer Game Preview: Lincolnton vs. Newton-Conover

The Lincolnton Wolves will take on the Newton-Conover Red Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lincolnton will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Tuesday, then bounced right back against West Caldwell on Thursday. Wolves put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 6-2 victory. It was an even better day for Jaylin Vallejo as she scored four goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Newton-Conover waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Rebels get on the board and left with a 3-0 win.

The victory snapped Lincolnton's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-9-1 record. As for Newton-Conover, their win bumped their record up to 13-5-3.
