Baseball Recap: Linfield Christian Has No Trouble Against Woodcrest Christian

Linfield Christian was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Woodcrest Christian on Thursday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Royals. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Noah Getz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Linfield Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyce Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Johnson a new career-high.

Linfield Christian's record is now 12-5-1. As for Woodcrest Christian, they dropped their record down to 8-9 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
