Bishop O'Connell had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Paul VI Panthers on Thursday as they made off with a 13-4 victory. The Knights' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Emma Prykanowski and MJ Melvin did most of the damage at the plate: Prykanowski went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Melvin went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Prykanowski has posted since back in March. Abby Bond was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Bishop O'Connell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Paul VI only posted an OBP of .344.

Bishop O'Connell's record is now 19-0. As for Paul VI, their loss dropped their record down to 15-13.

Coming up, Bishop O'Connell will square off against St. Catherine's at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Knights 1.9, the Saints 1.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Paul VI does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
