Basketball Recap: Word of God Christian Academy Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

If Mount Zion Christian Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Word of God Christian Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Brandon Solomon. The Word of God Christian Academy Holy Rams took down the Mount Zion Christian Academy Mighty Warriors 88-69 on Tuesday thanks in part to Solomon, who went 11 of 15 en route to 23 points and eight rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Josef Brown, who went 10 of 22 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds. Those 19 points gave him a new career-high.

Word of God Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Mount Zion Christian Academy, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-5.
