Football Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Melrose's Winning Streak

Melrose has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 12.65 points allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They took a blow against the Macon County Tigers , falling 45-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Golden Wildcats have suffered since August 25, 2023.

Despite the loss, Melrose still got an impressive performance from Rhyan Brown, who rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns. That's the most rushing touchdowns Brown has posted since back in November of 2023.
