Softball Recap: Milford Eagles vs. Centennial Broncos
Milford won the last time they faced Centennial, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Everything went the Milford Eagles' way against the Centennial Broncos as the Milford Eagles made off with a 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Riley Springer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances.
At the plate, Izzy Yeackley was incredible, going 2-for-5 with a home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Ayla Roth, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with a home run and three runs.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milford is on the road again on Thursday to play Seward at 6:00 p.m. Seward's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Milford's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Centennial, they will head out to square off against Blue River on Thursday.
