Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Bayshore Christian

Bayshore Christian won the last time they faced Oasis Christian, and Tylan Lewis did his part to make sure it happened again. The Bayshore Christian Faith Warriors walked away with a 71-58 win over the Oasis Christian Lions on Tuesday thanks in part to Lewis, who posted 42 points. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Bayshore Christian's points.

Another player making a difference was Turner Fenal, who scored nine points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Despite the loss, Oasis Christian still got an impressive performance from Jesse Howell, who put up 25 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Shannon, who had 15 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Bayshore Christian and bumps their season record up to 8-12. As for Oasis Christian, their loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-13.

Bayshore Christian will venture away from home to square off against Sarasota Military Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bayshore Christian is facing Sarasota Military Academy at the right time seeing as Sarasota Military Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Oasis Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 46-42 win against Ridgeview Global Studies Academy on the 30th.
