Softball Recap: Deep Creek Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Deep Creek put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Menchville Monarchs as Deep Creek made off with a 12-1 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hornets also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Lilly B was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Larah Fray, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hailey Lack, who scored three runs and stole two bases.

Deep Creek's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Deep Creek will square off against Granby at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Menchville, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Bethel at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Menchville's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
