Softball Recap: Jim Thorpe Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Jim Thorpe's offense. They came up short against the Northwestern Lehigh Tigers on Wednesday, falling 21-0. The Olympians just can't catch a break and have now endured ten defeats in a row.

Jim Thorpe's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Northwestern Lehigh, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

Looking ahead, Jim Thorpe will take on Northern Lehigh at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Olympians are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Northwestern Lehigh, they will be playing at home against Palmerton at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Tigers have won nine straight at home dating back to last season, while the Blue Bombers won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
