Basketball Recap: Dorian Watson and J.T. Barlow Secure Win for Hillcrest

Hillcrest won the last time they faced W.S. Neal and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hillcrest Jaguars walked away with a 55-48 win over the W.S. Neal Eagles. That seven point margin sets a new team best for the Jaguars this season.

Leading Hillcrest to victory were J.T. Barlow and Dorian Watson. Barlow went 8 of 17 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight boards and four steals, while Watson posted 12 points along with six assists and six boards. Watson is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamir Sharpe, who had seven points and nine rebounds.

Hillcrest has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for W.S. Neal, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Hillcrest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 73-68 defeat against Murphy on the 6th. As for W.S. Neal, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-50 victory against Monroe County on the 10th.
