Basketball Game Preview: Covenant Life Cougars vs. Arlington Baptist Eagles

The Covenant Life Cougars will challenge the Arlington Baptist Eagles at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Covenant Life will be strutting in after a victory while Arlington Baptist will be coming in after a loss.

Covenant Life got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They escaped with a win on Tuesday against Perry Hall Christian by the margin of a single free throw, 26-25.

Meanwhile, Arlington Baptist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 36-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harford Christian.

Covenant Life's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Arlington Baptist, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Covenant Life was able to grind out a solid victory over Arlington Baptist in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 34-27. Will Covenant Life repeat their success, or does Arlington Baptist have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
