Softball Recap: Toms River North Comes Up Short

Toms River North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 10-4 to the Pinelands Regional Wildcats. If the Mariners were looking for revenge after losing 15-5 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cam L and Jordan B did some serious damage despite the final result: L went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while B scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those RBI marked the first that L brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Stef B, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Toms River North's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Pinelands Regional, the win keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Toms River North will head out to square off against Howell at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pinelands Regional, they will take on New Egypt at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
