Softball Recap: West Limestone Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Alexandria

West Limestone faced Alexandria in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Valley Cubs by a score of 2-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Katie Lyn Kyle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Lilly Bethune was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run.

West Limestone's loss dropped their record down to 44-7. As for Alexandria, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 41-10-3 record this season.
