Basketball Recap: Ethan Woolley's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Logan over Hillcrest

Logan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-41 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hillcrest Knights.

Several Grizzlies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Woolley, who posted 18 points and five boards. Woolley is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Grayden Olsen was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Logan's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Hillcrest, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Logan will take on Sky View in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hillcrest, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Blackfoot at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
