Basketball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is South Guilford Homeschool's Tenth in Last 11 Outings

South Guilford HomeSchool had won three straight road games and Nate Martin did his part to make it four on Saturday. The South Guilford HomeSchool Cougars snuck past the Shining Light Academy Knights with a 37-33 victory thanks in part to Martin, who posted 15 points along with five boards and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last four games he's played.

South Guilford HomeSchool has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Shining Light Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 12-3.

South Guilford HomeSchool didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 83-45 defeat against South Wake on the 2nd. As for Shining Light Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lee Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 13th.
