Volleyball Recap: Alvarado Takes a Loss

Alvarado managed to slip by Benbrook the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Indians came up short against the Bobcats on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-12, 25-15.

Leann Bjork paced Alvarado's offense, picking up six kills. Bjork got some help from Kaetyn Hazard and her 15 assists. Madison Kingsley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Alvarado dropped their record down to 5-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Benbrook, they now also have a winning record of 5-4.

Alvarado didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Lindsay on the 21st. As for Benbrook, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Hamilton on the 21st.
