Volleyball Recap: Clover Garden School Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Clover Garden School lost against Woods Charter back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Grizzlies came up short against the Wolves, falling 3-0. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Woods Charter scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17, 25-17.

Halle Russell paced Clover Garden School's offense, picking up 13 kills. Russell got some help from Hanna Tickle and her 20 assists. Finally, Cadence Collins kept Clover Garden School's defense grounded, leading the team with nine blocks.

Woods Charter was led to victory by Lauren Castro and Kori Myers. Castro had nine digs and two aces, while Myers had nine digs and three aces. Castro is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Clover Garden School's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Woods Charter, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-1.

Clover Garden School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Central Carolina Academy on the 3rd. As for Woods Charter, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against The Burlington School on the 6th.
