Basketball Recap: Ripley Takes a Loss

Ripley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 52-35 to the Amory Panthers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-30 back in December of 2024.

Ripley's record is now 4-20. As for Amory, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-17.

Ripley and Amory could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings. Ripley (ranked 232nd) will meet Alcorn Central (ranked 85th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Amory will challenge Mooreville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 109 places (217 vs. 108).
