Basketball Recap: Central Crossing Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Lincoln

After losing to Lincoln the last time they met, Central Crossing decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Central Crossing Comets came out on top against the Lincoln Lions by a score of 47-40 on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Comets' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 539th, while the Lions are ranked 227th).

Central Crossing's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-10. As for Lincoln, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Crossing will head out to challenge Chillicothe at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincoln, they are taking a road trip to square off against Dublin Jerome at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
