Basketball Recap: Crawford Comes Up Short

Crawford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 54-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hyannis Longhorns. The Rams lost against the Longhorns in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 73-26 score last time.

Despite the loss, Crawford still got an impressive performance from Taylor Homan, who went 8 for 20 en route to 20 points. That was a full 47.6% of Crawford's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abisai Munoz-Salazar, who earned six points and eight boards.

Crawford's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Hyannis, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Crawford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-45 defeat against Potter-Dix on the 1st. Hyannis has also already played their next contest (against Cody-Kilgore), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
