Jackson-Olin is 2-8 against Parker since March of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Mustangs will welcome the Thundering Herd at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Jackson-Olin will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Woodlawn on Monday. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Colonels with a sharp 14-7 victory. The Mustangs not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 3rd (when they won 18-6).

The team relied heavily on Wylam Wright, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chauncey Nelson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Jackson-Olin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .719. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Parker made easy work of Shades Valley on Tuesday and carried off an 8-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Thundering Herd, who have now won 17 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Courterius Bedgood was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Jordan Willis was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Ryan Elliott was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Parker has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Jackson-Olin, their win bumped their record up to 5-13.
Jackson-Olin suffered a grim 25-3 defeat to Parker in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Mustangs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
