Basketball Recap: Pendleton Sets Scoring Season-High Against Gladstone

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pendleton). They blew past the Gladstone Gladiators 60-36 on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Buckaroos, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Pendleton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Khimora Scott out in front who posted 19 points. Those 19 points gave Scott a new career-high. Nessa Neveau was another key player, going 5 of 12 on her way to 11 points and four steals.

Pendleton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive matchups.

Pendleton's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Gladstone, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Pendleton will be playing in front of their home fans against Marist at 3:00 p.m. on December 28th. As for Gladstone, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 80-20 loss against Amity on the 26th.
