Basketball Recap: Windthorst Takes a Loss

Windthorst lost to Seymour back in January of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The game between the Trojans and the Panthers didn't end well, with the Trojans falling 55-38. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 798th, while the Panthers are ranked 193rd).

Windthorst's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Seymour, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Windthorst will welcome Archer City at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seymour, they will head out to face off against Petrolia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
