Softball Game Preview: Pinnacle Panthers vs. Panguitch Bobcats

The Pinnacle Panthers will face off against the Panguitch Bobcats at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pinnacle comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Pinnacle fell victim to Milford and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 16-0 to the Tigers.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Panguitch sidestepped El Capitan for a 7-6 win.

Brooklyn Harland made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off 13 hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kadee Harland was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Katie Hatch, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Panguitch has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Pinnacle, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
