Weiser waltzed into their game on Saturday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They blew past the Melba Mustangs 10-3. The Wolverines have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Madi Janicek made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Natalya Hoobery, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Alyvia Goff, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Weiser's record is now 13-1. As for Melba, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weiser will welcome Fruitland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Grizzlies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.63 runs per game on average), something the Wolverines will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Melba, they will be playing at home against Parma at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 13.1 runs per game this season.
