Baseball Game Preview: Caro Tigers vs. Reese Rockets

The Caro Tigers will challenge the Reese Rockets at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Caro 3.6, Reese 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

While Caro's win against Sandusky wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers skirted past the Wolves 7-5. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Max Grice was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Caro is undefeated when Grice posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Wyatt Waterman was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Reese and Kingston finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw on Monday.

Caro's win bumped their record up to 8-5. Reese's draw makes their record 3-1-1 this season.

Caro came up short against Reese in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 5-2. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
