Volleyball Recap: New Trier Falls Short Against Ranked Glenbrook South

New Trier faced Glenbrook South in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Trevians fell just short of the Titans by a score of 2-1. The Trevians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Titans earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, New Trier sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-19, 23-25, 28-26.

Glenbrook South found their leader in sophomore Logan Ball, who had 23 assists and three digs. Ball is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 19 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

New Trier dropped their record down to 20-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Glenbrook South, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-11.

Looking ahead, New Trier will take on DePaul College Prep at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Glenbrook South, they will square off against Vernon Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
