Softball Recap: Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils vs. Herscher Tigers
Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Herscher Tigers, falling 12-6. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.
Draycee Nelson and Gentry Elson did some serious damage despite the final result: Nelson scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Elson went 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Callan Carpenter, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Herscher, their record is now 4-1.
Coming up, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin will challenge Rantoul at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Herscher, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 21-8 victory against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley on the 28th.
