Baseball Recap: Decatur Takes a Loss

Decatur lost against Krum back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Decatur Eagles fell 7-4 to the Krum Bobcats. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Decatur got a good showing from Caden Hill, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave Hill a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

On the hitting side, Decatur saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jed Ross, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Decatur's loss dropped their record down to 5-11-1. As for Krum, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Coming up, Decatur will square off against Castleberry at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Castleberry will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Decatur surely won't give up without a fight. As for Krum, they will face off against Eagle Mountain at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.
