Baseball Game Preview: Carmichaels Mighty Mikes vs. West Greene Pioneers

For the second straight game, Carmichaels will face off against West Greene. The Mighty Mikes will head out on the road to square off against the Pioneers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Carmichaels has five straight victories, West Greene has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Carmichaels' pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against West Greene, sneaking past 2-0.

The result came thanks to Colin Andrews's shutout, as he gave up just six hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dillon Fisher, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one double. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Carmichaels pushed their record up to 11-4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for West Greene, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.
