Volleyball Recap: Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy Comes Up Short

Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christian Family Academy Fire. If the Crusaders were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Fire when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-10, 20-25, 25-23, 25-18.

Ally Justice had a dynamite game For Christian Family Academy., getting eight aces and seven kills. Those eight aces gave Justice a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alyna Smith, who had six aces.

Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Christian Family Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Lake Lure Classical Academy on Thursday. Meanwhile, Christian Family Academy will take on rival Community Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
