Baseball Game Preview: Fall Creek Crickets vs. Durand-Arkansaw Panthers

The Fall Creek Crickets will take on the Durand-Arkansaw Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Fall Creek is coming into the game hot, having won their last 20 games.

13 must be Fall Creek's lucky number: they beat Osseo-Fairchild with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Crickets beat the Thunder by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 13-3. Considering the Crickets have won 14 matchups by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Durand-Arkansaw had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against Melrose-Mindoro by a score of 4-1 on Tuesday.

Durand-Arkansaw's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Fall Creek, their win bumped their record up to 21-3-1.

Fall Creek got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Durand-Arkansaw by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crickets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
