Baseball Recap: Wallkill Find Success

Wallkill won the last time they faced Our Lady of Lourdes and things went their way on Monday too. The Panthers came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 9-6.

Bryce Buchalter looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ben Dortort, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Jayce Hayden, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Wallkill lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The victory got Wallkill back to even at 2-2. As for Our Lady of Lourdes, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
