Volleyball Game Preview: Highlands Highlanders vs. Hayesville Yellowjackets

Highlands is 2-8 against Hayesville since August of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Highlanders will head out to challenge the Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Highlands can't be too happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Monday. They came up short against Smoky Mountain, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-18, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Hayesville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to Franklin on Monday.

While Hayesville was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22, 25-17.

Highlands might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Hayesville in their previous matchup back in August of 2024. Can the Highlanders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
