Volleyball Recap: Belen Jesuit Comes Up Short

Belen Jesuit saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Winter Park Wildcats. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Belen Jesuit had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20.

Luke Diaz paced Belen Jesuit's offense, picking up five kills. Diaz really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with eight. William Essig controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Belen Jesuit now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Winter Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Belen Jesuit wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Archbishop McCarthy on the 8th. As for Winter Park, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Lake Nona on the 8th.
