Volleyball Recap: Marina Comes Up Short

Marina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Palma Chieftains. If the Mariners were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Chieftains when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-17, 23-25, 25-18.

Marina's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Palma, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Marina will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rancho San Juan at 6:00 p.m. on the 16th. Palma has already played their next contest (against Soledad), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
