Basketball Game Preview: Hesperia Panthers vs. North Muskegon Norsemen

Hesperia is 0-8 against North Muskegon since March of 2016 but things could change on Monday. The Hesperia Panthers will head out to take on the North Muskegon Norsemen at 7:00 p.m.

Last Thursday, Hesperia had to suffer through a 62-33 loss at the hands of Hart. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 663rd, while the Pirates are ranked 322nd).

Meanwhile, North Muskegon blew past Holton, posting a 67-13 win. The Norsemen have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for North Muskegon and bumps their season record up to 18-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 49 points. As for Hesperia, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.

Hesperia was taken down by North Muskegon 74-31 in their previous meeting back in January. Can Hesperia avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
