Volleyball Recap: Paso Robles Comes Up Short

Paso Robles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Clovis Cougars.

Clovis' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joel Toves led the charge by getting two aces and one block. The dominant performance also gave Toves a new career-high in assists (20).

Paso Robles' defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Clovis, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 24-1.

Paso Robles didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Monterey on the 25th. As for Clovis, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Homestead on the 25th.
