The Cedarcrest Red Wolves will head out on the road to challenge Marysville Getchell at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Cedarcrest suffered their biggest defeat since December 5, 2023 on Friday. They were beaten by Archbishop Murphy 78-33. Cedarcrest has not had much luck with Archbishop Murphy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Cedarcrest saw an underclassman step up: Kiki Anderson scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Anderson has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times she's played.
Meanwhile, Marysville Getchell's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 78-19 defeat at the hands of Lynnwood. While losing is never fun, Marysville Getchell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while Lynnwood is ranked 48th).
