Baseball Recap: Meadowbrook Comes Up Short

Meadowbrook managed to slip by Barnesville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Colts lost 19-5 to the Shamrocks on Wednesday. The Colts' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Austin Warner was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Devin Wells, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meadowbrook's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Barnesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games. That lines up perfectly with their 18-6 record this season.

Meadowbrook will take on Caldwell at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Barnesville, they will venture away from home to take on Monroe Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
