Central is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Liberty Charter 6-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.
Central got a great performance from Yanely Felix as she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched.

At the plate, Jayleen Beltran was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, three doubles, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Lea Zavala was another key player, going 4-for-5 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Madison, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on Maranatha Christian with a sharp 13-2 win on Wednesday. Considering the Warhawks have won 15 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Kalea Ohly (2027), who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Hanna Rosas (2027), who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Madison kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 15-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Central's record now sits at 10-14-1. As for Madison, their record is now 19-9-1.
Central's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's game. The Spartans have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game.
